Middle leg: a 28 in storage-and-trash cabinet and two 35 in three-drawer cabinets under one long counter, 37 in deep with about 10 in of overhang on the outside - room for five or six stools at 24 to 26 in each, all facing into the kitchen.

Third leg, from the corner: a 20 in three-drawer cabinet, the side burner in a 28 in two-drawer cabinet, and a 20 in storage-and-trash cabinet. The grill and the side burner are on opposite legs, about 8.5 ft apart, so two people can cook at once without sharing a counter.

Legs measured along the countertop: 12 ft 1 in and 8 ft 10 in on the sides (27 in deep) and 12 ft 11 in across the middle (37 in deep with the bar overhang); countertop at 35.7 in.

The open floor inside the U is about 8 ft 6 in across - far more than the 48 in two cooks need. With 36 to 44 in behind the stools, plan an area of about 13 x 16 ft.

Gas goes to both side legs (grill and side burner); water, a drain and a refrigerator circuit go to the cooking leg. The bar leg needs no utilities.
