A U-shaped kitchen that ends in a bar: a 32 in Napoleon 700 Series grill on one leg, a 24 in sink and a glass-door RCS refrigerator across the back, and a bar leg with an RCS ice maker, an open shelved cabinet and a deeper countertop for stools on the outside. Guests at the bar look across the U at the grill. Shown in Antracite with a charcoal back panel.

How this kitchen works
Grill leg, from the open end: the grill in a 35 in cabinet with doors and a 28 in three-drawer cabinet, then the corner.
Back leg: the sink cabinet with a drawer and a trash pull-out, the 24 in glass-door refrigerator and a 20 in three-drawer cabinet - the wet-and-cold middle of the kitchen.
Bar leg, from the corner: the 15 in ice maker, a 24 in open cabinet with two shelves for glasses and bottles, and a 35 in three-drawer cabinet. Its countertop is 37 in deep and overhangs the outside by about 10 in, room for four stools.

Size and the space it needs
Legs measured along the countertop: 7 ft 8 in (grill leg), 11 ft 7 in (back) and 8 ft 8 in (bar leg, 37 in deep), with the countertop at 35.7 in.
The floor inside the U is about 6 ft 3 in across. With 36 to 44 in behind the stools and a path into the open side, plan roughly 12 x 13 ft.
Gas goes to the grill leg; water, a drain and a circuit to the back leg; the ice maker also needs water, power and - on most models - a drain.

- Pool and patio parties: ice and cold drinks at the bar, food from the grill.
- Patios with room for a U but not for a separate bar island.
Keep in mind
- The 32 in grill is mid-size; serious grillers may want the 38 in options elsewhere in the collection.
- Seating is only on the bar leg - four stools - so larger groups need a table nearby.
- Stools at the bar leg get about 10 in of knee room - comfortable for a drink, short for a three-course dinner.
